Browse through the list of finalists for the World's Best Awards this year of 2011 shows that Thailand has situated at good results, with Bangkok voted world's favorite city and several Thai-based properties listed in the top 10 in many categories.
At the top of the list of favorite cities, Bangkok has accumulated a score of 90.49, followed by Florence, Rome, New York and Istanbul.
The elegant design of Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi in Chiang Mai seventh in the "best hotel" list and was the only hotel in Southeast Asia to be among the top ten, while its sister property in Bangkok, the Mandarin Oriental, finished eighth in the "best hotel spa" category.
